Lapels 1940 is a family-owned tailoring house founded in 1940, born from a simple observation: powerful men were wasting time waiting for uniforms to arrive by sea—then wasting more time on alterations. So our founder did what true craftsmen do: he solved the problem locally, precisely, and with pride.
That instinct—convenience, precision, and quiet excellence—became our signature. What began with British naval officers evolved, generation by generation, into a house trusted by modern CEOs, founders, and discerning clients who expect tailoring that holds its shape, its comfort, and its status—long after trends move on.
Today, Lapels 1940 operates under the M F KHAN umbrella, guided by the 3rd and 4th generations—balancing time-honoured technique with modern strategy, styling, and storytelling.
